We Lost Kasya… Now We're Fighting to Save Zefrika

Some days at the shelter bring heartbreaking news that no one is ever prepared for. 💔🐇

Just a short time ago, both of our little rabbits suddenly became seriously ill. We rushed them to the veterinarian, hoping that quick treatment and medication would help them recover. We believed they would pull through.

But despite everyone’s efforts, the next day we had to say goodbye to our sweet brown rabbit, Kasya. Losing her has left us devastated. We did everything we could, yet sometimes love and hope simply aren’t enough. The pain of losing such a gentle little soul is impossible to put into words.

Now all of our attention is focused on Zefrika, our white rabbit, who is still fighting for her life.

When her condition didn’t improve, we immediately returned to the veterinary clinic. After examining her, the doctors decided she needed to stay overnight so they could monitor her closely, continue treatment, and give her the best possible chance to recover.

Watching another beloved animal struggle is incredibly difficult. Every hour matters, and we’re holding on to hope that Zefrika is stronger than this illness.

Unfortunately, emergency veterinary care comes with unexpected costs that our shelter wasn’t prepared for. But when an animal’s life is at stake, giving up is never an option. Every life matters, no matter how small.
