Meet Laska: A Gentle Rescue Dog Looking for Her Forever Home
Meet Laska – A Gentle Survivor Searching for the Loving Home She Has Always Deserved ❤️
Laska has already survived more than most dogs ever should. Now, all she dreams of is finding a family that will love her forever.
Her story began during one of the darkest chapters of the war in Ukraine. Laska was trapped in an abandoned shelter during the occupation, where she and many other dogs were left without food or proper care. Day after day, they struggled to survive, not knowing if anyone would ever come back for them.
Against all odds, Laska never lost her gentle spirit.
When our rescue team was finally able to evacuate the dogs, Laska was one of the lucky survivors. Although she escaped the nightmare, her journey isn’t over yet. She is still patiently waiting for the one thing every rescue dog deserves—a family that will never abandon her again.
Despite everything she has endured, Laska remains one of the sweetest and most affectionate dogs you could ever meet. She absolutely adores people and is happiest when she’s close to someone she loves. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch, asking for belly rubs, or gently leaning against you for comfort, Laska simply wants to be part of a family.
She never misses an opportunity to ask for hugs, kisses, or a few extra treats. Her tail starts wagging the moment she sees familiar faces, and she greets everyone with the biggest smile, reminding us that even after unimaginable hardship, dogs still choose to trust.
Because Laska loves people so deeply, she naturally enjoys being the center of attention. She can sometimes become a little jealous when other dogs receive affection before she does—not out of aggression, but because she has spent so much of her life longing for love and reassurance.
Laska gets along well with other dogs and is generally calm around cats. She has limited experience with children and enjoys their company, though her excitement may occasionally cause her to jump up for attention, making her a better match for families with older children.
She walks nicely on a leash, is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, so she is more than ready to begin the next chapter of her life.
Laska does have one unique feature that makes her even more special—she is missing half of one ear, a permanent reminder of the difficult life she left behind. She may also become anxious if left alone for long periods, sometimes crying or barking because she fears being abandoned again. For this reason, she would thrive in a home where someone is around for much of the day, or alongside another friendly dog or even a cat who can keep her company.
At approximately 6–8 years old, Laska still has so much love to give. She isn’t looking for perfection—just someone who will keep the promise that was broken once before: to never leave her again.
If you believe Laska could be the missing piece of your family, we would love to hear from you. She has waited long enough for her happy ending, and we know that somewhere out there, her perfect person is waiting too.
