Every Day With Kraken Is a Precious Gift

We wanted to share a little update about our beloved Kraken—a dog who has touched the hearts of so many people. 💛🐾

Although we know that Kraken’s journey is nearing its final chapter, he continues to surprise us with his gentle spirit and quiet determination. He still has a healthy appetite, eagerly enjoys every meal, and greets each day with the calm, loving personality we’ve all come to adore.

Right now, our focus is no longer on trying to fight the inevitable. Instead, we’re dedicated to giving Kraken something just as important: comfort, dignity, and as much love as we can possibly surround him with.

Every soft bed, every gentle pat, every favorite meal, every slow walk, and every peaceful nap reminds us that even when time is limited, life can still be filled with joy. Our goal is to make sure Kraken feels safe, cherished, and never alone for every moment he has left.

Animals like Kraken teach us an important lesson—that love isn’t measured by how much time we have together, but by how much care we give during that time.

Of course, saying goodbye is never easy. Knowing that his remaining days are few makes every morning more meaningful and every quiet moment together even more precious. Yet Kraken continues to remind us to appreciate the present. He doesn’t worry about tomorrow—he simply enjoys today’s meal, today’s affection, and today’s sunshine.

Every extra day we are lucky enough to spend with this sweet old boy truly feels like a gift.
