Chicco’s Journey: From Fear to a Forever Home
🐾 Chicco Update!
Almost one year ago, Chicco’s life changed forever.
She was found wandering alone along a busy road, frightened, confused, and dangerously close to traffic. Every passing car put her at risk, and it was clear that she had no idea where to go. Thankfully, our teammate Katya spotted her just in time and stopped to help.
Once Chicco arrived at the veterinary clinic, we learned more about her story. She is a senior dog with limited eyesight and an incredibly gentle nature. It quickly became obvious that she had once belonged to someone. She walked beautifully on a leash, responded calmly to people, and showed all the signs of a dog who had known love and care before somehow finding herself abandoned and alone.
The first days were especially difficult. Chicco was exhausted, overwhelmed, and heartbroken. The stress she had experienced was so intense that she barely wanted to eat. Watching her struggle was painful, but we knew she simply needed time, patience, and kindness.
Little by little, Chicco began to recover. As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, her trust returned. She started enjoying gentle attention, feeling safe again, and embracing the comfort she deserved.
And now, after everything she has been through, we finally have wonderful news to share…

This sweet senior girl, who once wandered the roads alone and afraid, may finally be on her way to the loving, peaceful home she has always deserved. After a year of healing, hope, and second chances, Chicco’s happiest chapter may be just beginning.
