Zoja Is Waiting for Her Forever Home

🥰❤️ Meet Zoja — a dog who has already been through more than most, yet still believes in people.

When the war began, Zoja found herself trapped in a nightmare. She was left behind in an abandoned shelter during the occupation, together with other dogs, without food, without care, and without any certainty of survival. Days passed in hunger and fear… yet somehow, she didn’t lose what matters most — her gentle heart and trust in humans.

Eventually, we were able to evacuate Zoja and bring her to safety. But her journey isn’t over yet. She is still waiting… waiting for that one person who will finally become her family. Someone who will show her what it means to be loved, protected, and never abandoned again.

Zoja is about 4 years old, a medium-sized mixed-breed dog weighing around 20 kg (44 lbs). She is vaccinated, chipped, and sterilized — fully ready to start a new chapter of her life.

Despite everything she has been through, Zoja absolutely loves people. She is very affectionate, people-oriented, and truly enjoys attention, walks, and companionship. She walks well on a leash, behaves calmly at home, and can stay alone without stress or barking.

With other dogs, Zoja is generally playful and doesn’t seek conflict, but she has a confident, dominant personality. Because of this, she will need some supervision when meeting new animals and time to adapt. Ideally, she would thrive as the only dog in the family, but with patience and proper introduction, she could also live with another dog.

Her experience with children and cats is unknown, so a calm and understanding environment would be the best start for her.

Zoja has already survived the worst. Now she deserves the best — a home where she will feel safe every single day, where she will be loved not “for now,” but forever.
