She Survived War. Now Zoja Needs a Family
π₯°β€οΈ Meet Zoja β a beautiful survivor who is still waiting for the happy ending she deserves.
When the war began, Zoja’s life changed overnight.
She was living in a shelter that became trapped during the occupation. The people who cared for the dogs could no longer reach them, and Zoja, along with many other animals, was left behind without regular food, care, or safety. Day after day, they waited, not knowing if help would ever come.
Many dogs would have lost their trust in people after such an experience.
But not Zoja.
Despite everything she endured, she remained kind, gentle, and full of love. When we were finally able to evacuate the dogs, Zoja showed us that her heart was still open. She still wanted human companionship. She still believed in kindness.
Today, Zoja is safe, but she is still missing the one thing she has always dreamed of β a family of her own.
Zoja is a sweet, people-oriented girl who genuinely enjoys being around humans. She loves attention, companionship, and spending time with her favorite people. Whether it’s a walk, a quiet afternoon together, or simply being near someone she trusts, Zoja is happiest when she feels included and loved.
She walks well on a leash, is house-trained when taken out regularly, and can stay home alone without excessive barking, crying, or howling. She has adapted well to shelter life, but what she truly needs is a place she can finally call home.
With other dogs, Zoja is playful and generally friendly. She enjoys interaction and does not seek conflict, although she can sometimes display a dominant personality when meeting unfamiliar dogs. Because of this, she would benefit from a proper introduction period and supervision while adjusting to a new canine companion.
Ideally, Zoja would thrive as the only dog in the household, where she can enjoy all the attention she deserves. However, she can also live with another dog if her future family is willing to give her time and guidance during the adjustment period.
