Sometimes, loving someone means making the hardest decision of all.
Lucky’s owner is a young man living in Ukraine, facing an uncertain and difficult reality. Like many people in the country, he lives with the fear that one day he may not be able to return home. His greatest worry isn’t for himself—it’s for his beloved dog, Lucky, and the thought that he could be left completely alone.
With a heavy heart and tears in his eyes, he made an incredibly painful decision: to ask for help finding Lucky a new family. Not because he doesn’t love him, but because he loves him so deeply that he wants to ensure he will always be safe, cared for, and never left behind.
And Lucky truly deserves that chance.
This handsome young boy is full of life, energy, and happiness. At only 11 months to one year old, he still has a lot of puppy in him. He loves being around people, enjoys attention, and is always ready for fun and adventure. Like any young dog, he can sometimes be a little mischievous, but his personality is incredibly gentle and friendly. There is not an ounce of aggression in him—only love and curiosity.
Lucky is also a very smart boy. He learns quickly, knows basic commands, and follows them well. He enjoys spending time with people and wants nothing more than to be part of a family.
He can stay home alone for short periods, around one to two hours, although longer stretches are still difficult for him. On walks, Lucky is active, curious, and eager to explore the world around him. He is also continuing to improve his house training. He mostly tries to wait until he goes outside, but occasionally still uses a pee pad at home.
Despite his young age, Lucky has already faced more challenges than many dogs experience in a lifetime. He underwent two serious intestinal surgeries, and thankfully, he recovered beautifully. Today, he has a healthy appetite, feels great, and has no issues with food.
