Day 6 of Relentless Attacks — Our Dogs Are Terrified. They Need Safe Homes in the EU!
For six days in a row, Kyiv and the surrounding region have been facing relentless attacks. Our district is being targeted, and explosions are happening dangerously close to the places where our rescued animals are staying. 😔💔
Today, some of our dogs staying at a paid foster home are wearing ThunderShirts — special calming jackets normally used to help dogs cope with thunderstorms and loud noises.
But these dogs aren’t hiding from thunder.
They are wearing them because they are living through missile and drone attacks. 😭💔
When the explosions begin, our dogs have no way of understanding what is happening. They hear enormous blasts, feel the windows and walls shake, and become frightened and desperate to find somewhere — anywhere — that feels safe.
They don’t know why the sky is exploding.
They don’t know when the next blast will come.
All they can do is stay close to the people they trust and wait for the terrifying sounds to stop. 💔
And we are terrified that one day, the attacks may become too dangerous for them to remain where they are.
That’s why we urgently need foster families in the European Union.
