Please Help Druzhok: Our Senior Rescue Dog Needs Urgent Veterinary Care

After covering all of our August shelter expenses, we are facing a heartbreaking situation: there is almost nothing left in our emergency fund. And now, our sweet senior boy Druzhok urgently needs continued medical care.

Druzhok has already spent the past two weeks in a veterinary hospital after developing a serious infection. His condition required intensive treatment and IV therapy, and our team has been doing everything possible to help him recover. Unfortunately, his veterinary bill is now expected to reach approximately $700 — an amount we simply do not have available right now.

But Druzhok’s medical journey isn’t over.

Tomorrow, he is scheduled to see an orthopedic specialist who will carefully evaluate his condition and determine whether there is anything more we can do to improve his mobility and quality of life.

Many of you already know Druzhok’s story. He is one of our beloved stray dogs who has been through so much. He suffers from severe joint and spinal problems, which make walking extremely difficult. He relies on a wheelchair to move around, but despite all of these challenges, Druzhok remains a gentle, loving, and incredibly resilient old boy.

He deserves comfort. He deserves medical care. Most importantly, he deserves the chance to live the rest of his life without unnecessary pain.

Right now, however, we are struggling to provide that care because our shelter funds have been almost completely exhausted by our regular August expenses and the many unexpected emergencies that come with caring for rescued animals.

This is where we need your help.

A few dollars may not seem like much, but when many caring people come together, those small donations can become enough to pay for hospitalization, medication, specialist consultations, and the treatment an animal desperately needs.
