Forever in Our Hearts: Farewell, Sweet Myshka

Today, with broken hearts, we had to say goodbye to our precious Myshka. After a brave battle with kidney failure, her little body grew too tired to continue, and we had to let her go.

Myshka’s life was filled with both pain and incredible love. She and her siblings survived unimaginable hardships, trapped during the occupation before we managed to rescue them from the Sirius shelter.
While her brother found his forever home with our director Mandy in 2019, Myshka remained in our care. Here, she was surrounded every day by people who loved her dearly, who made sure she knew she was safe, cherished, and never alone.

Despite everything she endured, Myshka’s spirit remained gentle and kind. She had a quiet strength about her, a soft, trusting heart that touched everyone who knew her.

Though her time with us has come to an end, her memory will live on — in the hearts of those who loved her, in the kindness she inspired, and in the little legacy she leaves behind: a reminder that even the most fragile souls can teach us about strength, love, and resilience.
