Frodo’s Journey: Rescued Street Dog Needs Urgent Care

Meet Frodo, our newest rescue street dog! This brave little pup was found hiding under a shop, struggling to survive alone. Despite his hardships, he’s shown incredible resilience, and now he finally has a chance at a better life. 🙏🐶

Our amazing teammate Katya took Frodo to the vet for a full check-up, where we learned that he’s about seven months old and weighs 11.5 kg. His legs are mostly fine, though he has weak carpus syndrome, likely due to malnutrition and the harsh conditions of life as a dog on the street. With the right care, proper nutrition, and exercise, he’ll grow stronger!

The most serious concern right now is Frodo’s throat and swollen face, most likely the result of a car accident. There’s an unidentified tissue in his throat that sometimes makes it difficult for him to breathe. After careful evaluation, the vets decided to start with antibiotic therapy and monitor his condition before considering invasive procedures. In the meantime, he can only eat soft food, so we’ve stocked up on veterinary Brit cans to keep him comfortable.
