Rozina
This is Rozina. Her story is a sorrowful tale of a life filled with fear, loss, and the absence of kindness. She is an elderly dog who has endured cold, hunger, and pain. Rozina spent part of her life on the streets before ending up in a shelter where the conditions were harsh. The dogs there received little care, rarely saw people, and never knew what it felt like to be loved.
Rozina doesn’t know the comfort of a gentle hand bringing peace. Her fear of humans is so great that her whole body stiffens at the slightest touch. Yet, despite her fear, Rozina shows no aggression. She is sweet and gentle, even though her heart remains locked away, guarded by years of mistrust.
Rozina once had a sister. They were inseparable, always comforting and supporting each other. But life dealt a cruel blow: her sister tragically died under the wheels of a car, leaving Rozina all alone. Now her home is our shelter, where we do everything we can to make her feel safe.
Her other sisters have already found loving families. They, too, were once afraid, trembling at every touch. But now, they have become the most loyal friends to their humans. We believe Rozina has a chance as well. She may never be the dog who runs joyfully toward her owners, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve warmth and safety.
Rozina needs a sponsor—a kind soul who can help us give her the life she deserves. With your support, we can provide Rozina with food, medical care, and a clean, warm space in our shelter. Most importantly, we will continue to work with her, showing her that humans can be kind and loving.
Rozina is a quiet soul waiting for a miracle. She is hesitant to trust, but her heart holds the potential for love. If you are ever in Kyiv, we would love to invite you to meet her. She may not let you touch her right away, but even your calm presence can be a step toward building her trust.
Together, let’s give Rozina the chance to live a life where her fears are no longer a burden, and kindness and care become her new reality.
