Yesterday, our staff members Sasha and Zoya stepped outside into the yard for a short break after their shift. They noticed a black Toyota Camry parked at a nearby gas station. The driver saw them, approached our property, and shockingly began urinating on the corner of our house.

When Zoya, a young woman, asked him to leave the private property, he became aggressive and physically attacked her. Moments later, his wife and a friend joined him, and the wife started assaulting Zoya alongside the intoxicated man.

Sasha called for security, while Zoya had to defend herself using pepper spray. The man yelled that he wasn’t afraid of anything because “he’s a criminal,” while his friend, claiming to be military, hurled threats. Even worse, before leaving, they threatened to return the next day and shoot up the building.

The police were called and arrived shortly after, but unfortunately, Zoya sustained injuries to her head and stomach during the attack.

We are devastated and deeply concerned for the safety of our staff. We are now switching to a more heavily armed and reliable security service. Since we still lack a proper fence, we are urgently relocating Tera, our outdoor dog, to a temporary specialized shelter. Due to her behavior, Tera cannot live with other animals or people and requires special care.

This situation has led to significant unforeseen expenses. Zoya needs an ultrasound and medications to recover, and the costs of hiring a new security service and moving Tera to safety will total around $500.
