Two Puppies Saved on the Road - A Second Chance at Life

A Moment That Saved Two Lives 🐾💛

As we look back on this past year, there are moments that remind us exactly why we do what we do. This is one of them.

One ordinary drive turned into a life-changing rescue.

While traveling along the highway, our teammate Katya noticed something unusual moving in the grass by the roadside. It would have been easy to pass by. But something made her stop. She turned the car around to take a closer look – and what she found were two tiny puppies, completely alone.

One of them was in immediate danger.

The little puppy had its head stuck inside a glass jar. It couldn’t pull itself free. The jar was heavy, restricting its movement, and we have no idea how long it had been struggling like that. Alone, scared, and trapped – its chances of survival were almost nonexistent.

Katya didn’t hesitate for a second.

She carefully broke the glass, freeing the puppy, and took both of them into her care. There were no houses, no nearby villages – nothing but open road. Without help, these puppies could have died from hunger, exhaustion, or been hit by passing cars.

But that’s not how their story ended.

Because someone chose to stop.
Because someone chose to care.

Those two tiny lives were given warmth, safety, and the chance to grow up in a world that is no longer dangerous and uncertain. What could have been the end became a new beginning.

Stories like this don’t happen by accident. They happen because of people who are willing to act – and because of supporters who make this work possible.
