After undergoing both examination and a CT scan, Baloo’s condition has been confirmed: a tumor located on the top of his bladder. However, the exact nature of the tumor remains uncertain without surgical intervention.

Unfortunately, the prospect of surgery comes with no guarantees of Baloo’s survival or successful rehabilitation, as these risks are influenced by his age and pre-existing conditions. An alternative option under consideration is palliative support through the administration of Previcox for the remainder of his life. To make an informed decision, consultation with a nephrologist is imperative.

In addition to his bladder tumor, Baloo faces significant challenges in his musculoskeletal system. These include a subchondral cyst in the left shoulder and vertebrae, spondylosis (abnormal growths on the vertebrae), and vertebral fusion. He is also dealing with osteoarthritis of the hip joints. The doctor speculates that these age-related changes may be attributed to a genetic predisposition for hip dysplasia. Unfortunately, due to Baloo’s age and weight, treatment for these conditions is not feasible.

Furthermore, Baloo contends with chronic enteritis, necessitating a gastroenterological consultation to determine the best course of action moving forward.
