Thanks to your incredible generosity and support, we’ve been able to take the first vital steps in Baloo’s journey toward healing. Since January 1st, Baloo has been receiving qualified care in a clinic, where he undergoes daytime treatment that includes infusion therapy, necessary injections, and medications aimed at improving his gastrointestinal function. These initial measures are essential in stabilizing his condition and ensuring his comfort.

Between January 1st and January 5th alone, nearly $300 was spent on Baloo’s treatment. While this may sound like a significant investment, it has brought some truly encouraging progress! Baloo’s appetite has returned, he’s drinking water regularly, and even showing renewed energy by asking to go outside. These improvements are a testament to the power of your care and kindness.

Baloo Still Needs You: The Fight is Far from Over

Despite these promising developments, Baloo’s journey to recovery is far from complete. He is currently battling a serious tumor in his bladder, which has grown significantly and is slowly breaking down. This condition is having a devastating effect on his kidney function, leading to dangerous levels of intoxication throughout his body. To combat this, Baloo requires ongoing intensive treatment to stabilize his vital organs and manage the effects of his condition.

In addition to medical interventions, there are substantial recurring expenses for medication, pads, and diapers to ensure Baloo’s daily comfort and hygiene. These costs are mounting quickly, and without your continued support, we cannot provide the long-term care that Baloo so desperately needs.
