This incredibly intelligent and affectionate boy once found shelter at a military checkpoint near Irshansk, close to the Belarusian border. It was a dangerous place, under frequent attacks from Russian forces. Luckily, our volunteers rescued Diego just in time, bringing him to safety.

Now, Diego is patiently waiting for a forever home — one that will never leave him behind.

Diego is the perfect mix of strength and gentleness. He walks gracefully on a leash, so calmly that even a child could guide him. He understands commands, enjoys playing fetch, and thrives in the company of people. With his quiet dignity and affectionate heart, Diego is the kind of dog that bonds deeply with his humans.

He generally gets along with other dogs too, especially calmer ones.
