Since arriving at our shelter, Terra has struggled to adapt. She trusts only one person, Katya, who brought her in. With others, she reacts with fear and defensive aggression, even when offered food.

Her hearing impairment only adds to her anxiety, making it harder for her to understand or feel safe. Terra isn’t mean — she’s a victim of neglect, a dog who never learned what love feels like.

Alabais are loyal but independent, and Terra reflects that. She needs an experienced trainer familiar with her breed — someone who sees beyond the fear.
