Kraken’s story is one of survival, courage, and hope. His name may sound playful, but it perfectly reflects his bold and spirited personality. Kraken is a small, stubborn, and feisty little dog — traits that make him truly unique.

Before he came to us, Kraken’s life on the streets was a constant battle. We don’t know his full past, but we can imagine the hardships: surviving hunger, avoiding danger, and likely enduring cruelty from both people and other dogs. Living on the streets left him wary of strangers and distrustful of other animals. His fear turned into defensiveness, which sometimes shows as aggression — a survival instinct shaped by a harsh world.

Kraken’s life changed forever when he was hit by a car. Barely clinging to life, he was rescued by our team, treated, and given a second chance. Today, he lives safely in our shelter, in his very own little house — a cozy gift from one of our kind volunteers. There, Kraken finally has a place where he can rest, recover, and feel secure.

Because of his fear and difficulty around other dogs, Kraken’s chances of finding a forever family are slim. But that doesn’t mean he should live without love, safety, or comfort. We’ve promised him that we’ll take care of him, no matter what — and now, we’re asking for your help.

Kraken needs a sponsor — someone who can help us provide him with food, medical care, and everything he needs to live a peaceful, dignified life. You may never cuddle him or see him run to greet you, but you’ll know that you’re his hero, giving him the care and safety he deserves.
