Skye: From Survivor to Support Dog

Greetings from Skye at work! 😍👋 I hope you’re having a great day. Skye is a true survivor and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. If you don’t remember her, let me remind you of her story. Skye was living in Mariupol when the war came and changed everything.

The city was devastated by bombings, and the house where Skye lived was completely destroyed. Somehow, she managed to survive the attack, but found herself trapped in the missile-destroyed building with no food or water. When volunteers finally found her, she was on the ninth floor of the building, desperately seeking help.

At that moment, Skye made the courageous decision to jump from the ninth floor, hoping it would be her only chance to survive. Miraculously, she survived the fall, but was badly injured. Fortunately, volunteers were able to get her the help she needed, and she was eventually brought to a Kyiv house where she received care and treatment.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of volunteers and supporters, Skye made a full recovery and was able to find a loving home in Northern Europe. Today, she’s doing important work providing emotional support to psychiatric patients alongside her owner. It’s truly inspiring to see how Skye has transformed her own life and is now helping others in need.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in Skye’s journey, from the volunteers who first found her to the supporters who helped fund her care and treatment. Without your support, Skye’s story could have had a very different ending.
