Rescued Dogs Find Hope: Thanks to War Paws

Today, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to War Paws for their incredible support of our organization! Thanks to the generous grant we received from War Paws, we were able to rescue Kraken, a dog who had been hit by a car in Kyiv. Kraken suffered knocked-out teeth and broken ribs, but with the grant’s assistance, we promptly took him to the clinic where he received the necessary treatment.

In addition to Kraken, we were able to bring several other dogs from our Kyiv house to the clinic. Tusya, Thomas, Jackie, Taita, and Balalaika all received thorough health checks, disease tests, heart ultrasounds, and sterilization procedures. These dogs, like many others we encounter, have endured abandonment, fear, and various injuries or diseases.

Taita, for instance, tragically lost her eye after her owner abandoned her. Jackie was discovered in a terrible condition in one of the Kyiv parks. Balalaika was rescued from an area that had been previously occupied. Tusya, on the other hand, suffered from severe dog bites that left her weak and with extensive wounds.

Thanks to the grant, we were also able to purchase essential flea and tick preventatives, wet food for elderly dogs and puppies, and airtight food containers for our kennel house in Kyiv. These supplies are vital for maintaining the health and well-being of the dogs in our care.
