We’re thrilled to share that Diego, one of our beloved rescue dogs from Ukraine, has been officially adopted! His new mom is none other than our longtime friend and shelter volunteer, Tara Khan 💛
Tara has been part of our journey since 2018 — even before Transform a Street Dog was born. She first connected with our director Mandy Allen through a Facebook post about starting a rescue effort. Since then, they’ve worked side by side to help dogs in need.
Tara now volunteers at our Kyiv shelter, spending time walking and bonding with our pups. And among them all, it was Diego who captured her heart.
With Tara’s adventurous spirit, we know Diego’s life ahead will be full of love, exploration, and joy.
From surviving war-torn streets to becoming part of a loving family — Diego’s story is what rescue dogs from Ukraine are all about ❤️
