Meet Zirochka! She was rescued from an abandoned blown up apartment building. Her owners left her. She was inside the building when it was hit by a missile and was on fire! But somehow she survived but still was trapped, and not rescued for weeks

One of our partners is in touch with animal rescuers in Mariupol and learned about Zirochka who was trapped many floors up in a destroyed building. A brave man went inside the building and took our terrified and starving little Zirochka!

Once the rescuers got her down from the building, there was just nowhere for her to go in the Russian occupied destroyed city of Mariupol. So we agreed to take her in, but finding a driver to make the trip from Mariupol to Kyiv

After a week long journey from Mariupol, she’s finally at our Kyiv peretrymka (kennel) house now. The driver had to travel without anything of value and go through Russian checkpoints – it’s a very difficult journey
