Masjanja’s Journey: Overcoming Challenges with Love

Meet our lovely Masjanja! She’s a gentle and affectionate dog who is being lovingly cared for by one of our amazing partners – an elderly woman with a huge heart. This kind lady has opened her home to not just Masjanja, but to eight other rescue dogs, all of whom she saved from a life on the streets. ❤️ Masjanja is one of those lucky dogs, and despite her challenges, she continues to brighten the lives of those around her.

Unfortunately, Masjanja is struggling with a hernia, which has been causing her some discomfort. Initially, we hoped to raise the necessary funds for her to undergo surgery, but after consulting with several veterinarians, we learned that the operation might not guarantee the relief she deserves. It was a tough decision, but rather than risking a procedure with uncertain outcomes, we opted for a more immediate and practical solution – getting Masjanja a wheelchair to help her move around with more ease.

This decision has already made a world of difference for her. Now, thanks to the support of The Guinness Dunn Foundation, Inc., who so generously provided the funds to secure this wheelchair, Masjanja can once again enjoy walking around and exploring her surroundings with far less difficulty.
