Kraken Needs a Sponsor — A Small Dog with a Big Story

Kraken needs a sponsor.
And maybe – just maybe – that person could be you. ❤️

Yes, Kraken is really his name. It sounds funny at first, but it fits him perfectly. He is small, stubborn, and full of fire. A tiny dog with a big personality. And behind those expressive eyes lives a story marked by hardship and survival.

We don’t know much about Kraken’s past. But we know it wasn’t easy. Life on the streets is cruel, especially for a small dog. He had to defend himself every day. Against bigger dogs. Against hunger. Possibly against people who hurt him. Over time, fear became his armor.

Kraken does not trust easily.
He is wary of strangers.
He doesn’t get along with other dogs.

His aggression is not cruelty.
It is protection.

Everything changed the day Kraken was hit by a car. He was close to death when our team found him. We rushed him to the clinic. We fought for him. And against the odds, he survived.

Today, Kraken lives in our shelter.
And he has something very special – his own little house.

A friend and volunteer donated a cozy doghouse just for him. We placed it inside the shelter, and it became his safe space. His world. A place where he can rest, feel secure, and observe life at his own pace.

Sadly, Kraken’s chances of adoption are very small. His fear and dog aggression make finding a family extremely difficult. But we have made a promise to him.

If he stays with us for life, that life will be dignified.

This is why Kraken needs a sponsor. Someone who can help us provide food, medical care, and warmth. Someone who understands that love doesn’t always look like cuddles. Sometimes, love is simply ensuring safety and stability.

Kraken may never sit on your lap.
But your support will still matter to him.

He is proof that even the most difficult dogs deserve compassion. And that every life, no matter how complicated, is worth protecting.
