Kraken may be small, but his personality is larger than life. His name perfectly suits him — stubborn, feisty, and incredibly resilient. Behind his bold character hides a story of survival, hardship, and pain.

We don’t know exactly what Kraken endured before he came to us, but life on the streets was never easy for a tiny dog. Maybe he was bullied by bigger dogs, or maybe people hurt him. Whatever happened, it left him wary of strangers and defensive around other dogs. His fear has become his shield, and sometimes it shows as aggression — but deep down, Kraken simply longs to feel safe.

Kraken’s life changed forever when he was hit by a car. He was on the brink of death when our team found him. We rushed him into medical care, and against all odds, Kraken survived. Today, he lives in our shelter — and thanks to one of our kind volunteers, he even has his very own little house inside the shelter. It’s his safe space where he can rest, recover, and watch the world without fear.

Sadly, due to his fearfulness and difficulty with other dogs, Kraken’s chances of finding a forever home are very slim. But we refuse to give up on him. Even if he spends the rest of his life in our care, we want that life to be filled with warmth, dignity, and love.
