Yes, his name really is Kraken! It may sound funny, but it perfectly matches his fiery spirit. He’s tiny yet incredibly strong-willed and brave — that’s part of his special charm. Behind his wise eyes lies a story of hardship and survival.

We don’t know much about Kraken’s past, but life on the streets was clearly unkind. For a small dog, every day meant danger — hunger, cold, and fear. Perhaps he was hurt by other dogs or even by people. Now, he’s wary of strangers and other dogs, his fear often turning into defensiveness — a shield shaped by years of struggle.

Kraken’s story nearly ended when he was hit by a car. He was gravely injured, but our rescue team found him just in time, gave him medical care, and brought him back to life. Though still cautious, there’s a spark in his eyes — a longing to be understood and accepted.

Today, Kraken lives safely at our shelter — in his very own little house, lovingly gifted by one of our volunteers. It’s his sanctuary, his quiet place to rest and feel safe. 🏡💛

Sadly, due to his fear and difficulty trusting, Kraken is unlikely to be adopted. But we will never give up on him. Even if he spends the rest of his life in our care, we want it to be filled with love, warmth, and dignity.

That’s why Kraken needs a sponsor — someone who will help us provide him with food, medical care, and security. Someone who, even from afar, can be his friend and guardian.
