From War to Love: Aika & Blanka’s Journey Home
From War to Love: Aika & Blanka’s Journey Home
Our dear friend and rescue hero Rick Armand recently shared a memory that still moves us to tears 🙏
Exactly two years ago, Rick stood at Frankfurt Airport, watching two brave souls — Aika and Blanka — being loaded onto their flight to the United States. These dogs had just survived a harrowing journey: escaping a war zone in an old van, crossing the Polish border, flying from Warsaw to Frankfurt, and finally heading toward their new lives in America.
Rick adopted Aika himself. Every single day since, she’s shown nothing but love, loyalty, and gratitude. Her sister Blanka found a loving home in New York, where she too is safe, happy, and cherished.
This miracle wasn’t the work of one person — it was the result of a compassionate network of rescuers, donors, transporters, and supporters like you who make these life-changing journeys possible. ❤️
But today, we’re facing a new challenge. Our funds are dangerously low. We have more animals to save, more lives to change — but we can’t do it alone.
💔 Please help us continue this work. Your donation — no matter how small — means hope, rescue, and a second chance for another dog like Aika or Blanka.
Thank you for being part of this mission. You truly make all the difference 🐾
