Flight Volunteers Bring Hope to War-Injured Dogs
Flight Volunteers Bring Hope to War-Injured Dogs
We have some fantastic news to share with you all! 🎉 Yesterday, John Flatley, one of our dedicated flight volunteers from Maryland, USA, flew all the way to Warsaw, Poland to take Barsik to his new home in the US. It was an emotional moment for all involved as we said goodbye to Barsik, knowing that he was finally going to have the happy life he deserved in a loving home.
But the good news doesn’t stop there! Today, another flight volunteer, Koby, is flying out to pick up Lady and Krasava. These amazing dogs have been through so much in their lives, from being injured in missile attacks to being abandoned by their owners. But thanks to the generosity of our supporters, they now have a chance to start a new life in the US and be safe and loved.
We want to take this opportunity to thank every single person who has donated to help fund this mission. Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to help dogs like Barsik, Lady, and Krasava find new homes and families. If you would like to donate, please click on the link provided above.
It’s important to remember that the stories of these dogs are heartbreaking, but through our collective efforts, we can make a difference in their lives. Barsik had to have his left front leg amputated after being injured in a Grad rocket attack, while Lady lost both of her eyes and was blinded forever by a missile explosion. Krasava was abandoned by her owners and left to fend for herself on the streets. These dogs have been through so much, and yet they still have so much love to give.
You may be wondering why we don’t just send the dogs alone as cargo. The truth is that it’s more cost-effective to fly with the dogs as baggage than it is to send them as cargo. That’s why we always need flight volunteers from JFK, Dulles Washington DC, Chicago, and San Francisco. If you’re interested in helping out in this way, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Once again, thank you to everyone who has helped make this mission possible. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of these wonderful dogs.
