First Snow Joy and a Winter We Can’t Face Alone

First Snow Joy and a Winter We Can’t Face Alone

Dakota and Louie have just experienced their very first snowfall — and it was pure magic. ❄️
Running through the white powder, sniffing every new scent, chasing each other with wagging tails and endless joy. Moments like these are why we do what we do. They remind us that every rescue, every sleepless night, every struggle is worth it.

But behind these happy scenes, the reality is much harder.

Our shelter is facing serious challenges right now. Winter has fully arrived, and with it come rising heating costs, rent, and ongoing expenses for dogs who need specialized rehabilitation and long-term care. The pressure is growing, and we cannot carry it alone.

That’s why we’ve launched an urgent winter fundraiser — to keep our shelter warm, to continue caring for the most vulnerable dogs, and to make sure moments like Dakota and Louie’s first snow are possible for every animal in our care.
