Farewell to Beloved Bim: A Tribute to His Final Years

Dear friends, we have some heart-wrenching news to share. Yesterday, our beloved Bim passed away 😔💔

Bim was a survivor from Borodyanka. He spent his entire 9-year life there until he nearly starved to death and came into our care. Due to his health issues, adoption wasn’t possible, so we kept him and provided the best care we could. He lived in a loving foster home, free from cages and filled with compassionate people. Thanks to this, Bim enjoyed his last year in a home where he was cherished and happy 🥺

We are immensely grateful to everyone who supported and loved Bim, giving him the best possible final years of his life.

A special thanks to Tania Zavgorodnia, Bim’s devoted caretaker before the war. She visited him weekly, socialized him, and searched for a home. Even after the occupation, Tania continued to walk him, take him to doctor appointments, and never abandoned him. She even visited him in Stryi while he was in our shelter. Tania’s dedication never wavered, and she always ensured Bim received the best care. Our deepest condolences to Tania.

We also extend our gratitude to Vitalina from Brovary Peretrymka for taking care of Bim and making his last days peaceful and happy 🙏
