Urgent Appeal – Help Us Save Dogs from a Bombed Shelter

Dear friends and supporters,

Just days ago, tragedy struck a dog shelter in Zaporizhzhia. The facility was hit during a bombing. Dog houses were destroyed. One staff member was injured and hospitalized. Thirteen innocent dogs lost their lives, and many others were left wounded and terrified.

This is not just news. This is an emergency.

Our rescue team in Kyiv is in direct contact with the shelter’s owners. They are urgently asking us to take in the injured dogs. Some of them are in critical condition. At least one dog lost a leg in the explosion. Others are suffering from shrapnel wounds, shock, and severe trauma.

Our shelter in Kyiv is already at full capacity. Every kennel is occupied. Every space is filled. But we cannot turn away from this crisis. We have found a boarding facility that is ready to accept the evacuated dogs immediately. The cost is 100 dollars per month per dog, plus urgent medical care, surgeries, medications, and rehabilitation. At the same time, we must continue caring for the dogs already under our protection in Kyiv.

This is why we are reaching out.

Emergency dog rescue requires fast action and financial support. The more funds we raise, the more injured dogs we can evacuate from this nightmare. Every donation directly supports evacuation, veterinary treatment, boarding, food, and recovery care. Every contribution becomes a lifesaving chance.

Animal rescue in Ukraine during wartime is an ongoing battle. Shelters are under constant risk. Volunteers work despite danger. Dogs who have already suffered abandonment now face explosions and destruction. They deserve safety. They deserve protection. They deserve a future beyond war.
