✨ Druzhok Is Recovering — and Our Shelter Is One Step Closer to Freedom

Druzhok is finally feeling better. With proper care, warmth, and attention, this sweet boy is slowly returning to himself, and seeing him heal brings us so much hope. But Druzhok isn’t our only good news today.

After months of waiting, saving, and working through endless obstacles, the fence around our shelter is almost completed. Artem has been building it piece by piece, and now only the final protective touches remain. Once everything is secured, our dogs will finally have something they’ve dreamed of for so long: a safe yard where they can run freely, play, explore, and simply be happy.

This fence is more than just a construction project.
It means freedom, safety, and a better quality of life for every dog who has survived trauma, abandonment, and war. Our teammate Katya has been waiting for this moment for what feels like forever. She remembers how this place looked at the very beginning — just an empty, isolated house in a field. And now, slowly but surely, it is turning into a shelter that truly feels like home.

But right now, we are facing a critical moment.
Despite all the progress, our shelter is drowning in financial strain. Rent, food for dozens of animals, ongoing vet bills, winter preparations — everything has reached a breaking point. We urgently need support to make it through this month and to keep our doors open.
