Become Kraken’s Lifeline: Help a Brave Survivor From Ukraine
Our little warrior Kraken urgently needs a sponsor—will you be the one to change his life? Your direct support through our website helps us provide care without delay: TransformAStreetDog.org/donate ❤️🥺
And yes, his name is truly Kraken. It may sound funny at first, but it matches him perfectly. He’s tiny, stubborn, fiery, and full of personality. With age etched into his eyes, he carries both the weight of his past and the pain he has survived.
We don’t know many details about Kraken’s life before he ended up with us, but it’s clear it wasn’t easy. A small dog trying to make it on the streets is constantly battling for survival. Maybe other dogs pushed him around, or maybe people hurt him—something shaped the fear that now lives inside him. Because of this, Kraken doesn’t trust strangers and struggles to be around other dogs. His fear hardened into aggression, a shield he built to protect himself in a world that treated him harshly.
Everything changed when Kraken was struck by a car. He was barely holding on when our team found him, rushed him to safety, and gave him the medical care he desperately needed. Although he remains cautious and keeps his distance, we can see glimpses of a dog who still hopes to be understood and accepted.
Kraken now lives in our shelter, in a little house of his very own. One of our volunteers made him a cozy tiny home, which we placed right inside the shelter so he could feel safe. It’s his refuge—a quiet spot where he can rest, heal, and observe life without fear.
Sadly, because he is afraid and reactive with other dogs, Kraken has almost no chance of being adopted. But we refuse to abandon him. Even if he spends his entire life with us, we want it to be filled with comfort, stability, and kindness.
That’s why Kraken needs a sponsor—someone who can help us cover his food, veterinary care, and ongoing support. Someone who may never cuddle him but will still be a friend from afar, giving him the life he deserves.
Kraken reminds us that even the most difficult dogs deserve love, patience, and dignity. If you feel moved by his journey, please consider sponsoring this small but incredibly brave soul. And if you ever come to Kyiv, we would be honored to introduce you to him. He won’t run up for hugs, but seeing him safe in his tiny home will touch your heart.
Together, we can give him the peace and protection he has been denied for far too long. 🙏
