Adopt a Dog from Ukraine: Dashka’s Second Chance
Energetic and sweet Dashka is finally leaving the boarding facility where she’s spent nearly a year — and she’s on her way to a loving foster home in Germany! 🐾
Her journey hasn’t been easy. Dashka was adopted in Warsaw a year and a half ago, but sadly returned after six months when her energy and training needs overwhelmed the family. We couldn’t bring her back to Ukraine, so one of our incredible partners secured a safe boarding spot near Warsaw, where she’s stayed ever since — eleven long months in a kennel.
We’ve been covering $175 a month to keep her safe, but we knew this wasn’t the right place for a dog like Dashka to grow and thrive.
Now, everything is changing. A kind American family living in Germany — experienced in fostering and training — has offered to help Dashka prepare for her forever home. This could be the fresh start she’s been waiting for.
But getting her there wasn’t easy. The transport alone cost $650, an unexpected expense we hope our amazing community will help us cover.
By supporting Dashka, you’re helping give her the second chance she deserves. And maybe one day, someone will decide to adopt a dog from Ukraine like her — a dog full of life, love, and untapped potential.
If you’ve ever wondered what it means to adopt a dog from Ukraine, Dashka’s story shows the impact it can have. Please consider donating and being part of her journey. Thank you for standing with us and our dogs! 🙏🐶❤️
