Story: The difficult and incredible story of this dog. Our volunteer, who came to Kyiv from the USA, helped not only in our house in Kyiv, but also traveled to the Chernihiv region and helped people rebuild houses destroyed by bombing. One day he noticed a dog that everyone avoided. When the man approached the dog, he understood what the problem was. The smell... the terrible smell of rotting meat. The man noticed a terrible wound on the dog's neck. He asked us to take the dog under our care.
Of course, we agreed and the next day the man took the dog to the hospital. The smell was so strong and terrible that the man had a severe headache and they barely made it to Kyiv.
The dog spent two weeks in the hospital. The wound was deep and very dirty. A rope was tied around the neck, which eventually turned into a hard rod that cut the skin and cut into the neck. We do not know how long this dog suffered. But we have to change his fate for the better.
The dog was treated and received a course of antibiotics. Now he lives in one of our houses in Ukraine. He is extremely gentle and grateful, cheerful and playful and very kind. He will become a true friend and companion.
