Story: Rafik is a little hero born in Ukraine amidst the chaos of war. He’s one of seven puppies brought into the world by a homeless dog in a small village where war has become a part of everyday life. Sadly, not everyone was happy about their arrival. Some people even talked about getting rid of the puppies, as the harsh conditions left little room for care.
Rafik gets along perfectly well with everyone he knows and has grown accustomed to. However, he is afraid of anything new — new people, new animals, and unfamiliar situations.
In an environment he knows, Rafik is calm, moderately playful, and sometimes quite talkative. But when it comes to going somewhere unfamiliar… absolutely not! 😂 He will do everything he can to avoid it.
He knows what walks and a leash are, but he prefers not to actually use that knowledge. 😄
Rafik was born in the Lviv region of Ukraine. His mother is a German Shepherd mix. She ran away from people and gave birth to puppies every year, while local volunteers did their best to find homes for them.
Rafik and his brothers and sisters could have died from hunger on the streets, but thankfully, volunteers managed to rescue all of them. Today, almost all of his siblings have found loving homes.
Rafik is still waiting for his own family. For now, he is living safely in a house and patiently hoping that one day someone will choose him. ❤️🐾
