Lura
Adoption pending
Sex: Female
Age: about 6 years
Health: Healthy, all veterinarian care is up-to-date; sterilized
Size: medium
Weight: 17-20 kg
Good with dogs: Yes

Character: Lura is an incredibly friendly and sociable dog when it comes to humans, and she has no issues interacting with other dogs. Although she has never been in a household with children or cats, she has never exhibited any signs of aggression. Additionally, Lura has been trained to walk on a leash. While she may not have experience living in a home before, as an adult dog, she is likely to quickly pick up on toilet training within a span of 1-5 days.

Story: Poor Lura spent her whole life in a shelter, but she never lost hope of finding her family. She was lucky to have been brought to a well run shelter in Borispol, Ukraine near Kyiv when she was a puppy. Sadly because street dogs are not popular for adoption in Ukraine, Lura was at that shelter for 6 years.

But horrifically, the only home Lura had ever known was invaded by the Russian military and many shelters were cut off from everything for 5 weeks. Everyone feared the region where Lura’s shelter was located would be the next one to be occupied so Lura was evacuated from Ukraine.
