Ukraine Under Attack: Lives Lost and Cities in Darkness
💔 Ukraine wakes up to another night of terror.
Early Friday morning, a wave of Russian missile and drone strikes hit Ukraine’s energy grid and residential areas, killing a 7-year-old boy in Zaporizhzhia and leaving more than half of Kyiv in darkness.
The large-scale assault targeted at least ten energy facilities across the country, sparking fires, destroying power lines, and disrupting water supplies. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Kyiv faced one of the heaviest attacks yet — with ballistic missiles and strike drones aimed directly at critical infrastructure.
In the capital, explosions rocked several districts. Residential buildings were hit, including a high-rise apartment block in the Pecherskyi area that caught fire in the middle of the night. At least twelve people were injured and hospitalized.
In Zaporizhzhia, tragedy struck hardest — a seven-year-old boy, wounded in the attack, later died in the hospital.
Once again, Ukraine endures unimaginable pain. But even in the darkness, the spirit of its people — and their will to protect the innocent — burns brighter than ever. 🇺🇦🕯️
