Terra is a majestic Alabai with a complex personality — yet deep inside, she is a scared soul longing for safety. Raised without proper love or training, Terra spent most of her life in a kennel with her sister. When her previous owners had to surrender the dogs, Terra’s sister quickly found a new home. Terra, however, was left all alone, abandoned and heartbroken.

Now living in our shelter, Terra faces a challenging adjustment. She only trusts Katya, the staff member who first brought her here. With Katya, Terra feels safe — she allows walks and care. But without Katya, Terra responds with fear and defensiveness, even reacting aggressively when food is offered.

Adding to her struggles is a hearing impairment, which makes communication even harder and deepens her anxiety.

We can’t know exactly what Terra endured in her past, but we do know this: a loved and well-raised dog does not show such fear and aggression. Terra is not a dangerous monster — she is a victim of neglect, a wounded spirit who has never known real love. She deserves compassion, not fear.

As an Alabai, Terra is naturally independent and protective. These traits are now intensified by her experiences — she currently trusts only Katya. To truly help her, Terra needs an experienced dog trainer familiar with the Alabai breed, someone who can gently guide her towards healing and trust.
