Urgent Appeal: Time of Crisis and Hope for Our Furry Friends

We must start by being candid – our beloved shelter is facing another immense crisis, and we’re reaching out to you with heavy hearts. The challenges we’re confronting are dire, and it’s difficult not to feel overwhelmed.

First and foremost, our dear Baloo is battling cancer, and Eva is in agonizing pain, requiring immediate treatment. Chuck is on the road to recovery from surgery, and Ray requires further medical tests to determine his condition. On top of these urgent medical cases, we have 15 precious kittens fighting a fungal disease, necessitating quarantine and specialized care.

The financial strain on our shelter has reached staggering proportions. To maintain the essential services of providing shelter, food, and medicine to our animals, we require $5,600 each month. This substantial amount accounts solely for the basic necessities and doesn’t even include the costs of unforeseen emergencies – and believe us, they have been frequent lately.

The situation has been exacerbated by a tragic event that occurred three months ago when we lost our dedicated kennel manager, Pavlo. As a result, we were forced to urgently relocate 29 dogs and 21 cats into for-profit housing, adding significantly to our financial burden.

Here’s a breakdown of our immediate financial needs:

1. Kennel rents and housing: $3,075 (this amount has ballooned due to numerous medical emergencies)
2. Veterinarian bills: We still have $4,291 in bills to pay this month alone.

This adds up to a staggering total of $7,366 in financial obligations that we are struggling to meet.
