Rozina’s life has been marked by fear, loss, and loneliness. She’s an elderly dog who has known only cold, hunger, and pain — never warmth or tenderness. For years, she wandered the streets, surviving on scraps and instinct, before ending up in a shelter where life was no kinder. The dogs there rarely saw people, never received affection, and lived in constant fear.
Rozina doesn’t yet understand what it means to be loved. When someone reaches out to touch her, her body stiffens with fear — yet she never growls, never bites. There’s no anger in her heart, only deep sadness and a quiet plea for safety. She’s gentle, calm, and heartbreakingly sweet, still waiting for a world she can trust.
Once, Rozina had a sister — her only source of comfort in a cruel world. They were inseparable, surviving together through hunger and cold. But tragedy struck when her sister was hit by a car, leaving Rozina completely alone. Now she lives in our shelter, where we’re doing everything possible to help her feel secure and loved.
Many of Rozina’s other “shelter sisters” have already found homes. They, too, were once terrified of human touch — trembling and withdrawn — yet love transformed them into devoted, happy dogs. We believe the same miracle can happen for Rozina. She may never be the dog who runs joyfully to greet her human, but she deserves peace, comfort, and kindness all the same.
